Hello everyone, My team for this project is “Yoketech” and the company we worked for was Bomberbot.

The project we worked on was to adapt the Dutch working model to the American model to make it more practical and comfortable to operate.

The work team is composed of:

Estephania Calvo Carvajal (Full-Stack)

Nicolas Castro (Front-End)

Myself Carolina Hernandez (Front-End).

We want to help improve a platform because it has the potential to improve education in our region and as remote students, we know the importance of having a support platform.

The whole team knows how important it is to work efficiently and as fast as possible, so you don’t spend a lot of time doing your work or pending activities, that’s why we chose this project because we found it very entertaining, to fix the workflow and adapt it to the American teachers, so they feel more comfortable and make it faster and easier for them.

For the Front-End part, we worked with RectJS, JavaScript, and CSS in order to create user-friendly web pages, Better user experience, Reusability of Components. For the Back-End we use Django as this is the language being used by the company.

This application has a tree viewer so the teachers can easily navigate and see the content. Going from six steps to three steps per block to know the course’s lessons.

We were able to reduce the creation and edit the content time of a complete course considerably and make it more intuitive to create with a control panel. Improving in twenty-two steps to create a complete course.

An automatic relationship system. Going from ten clicks to four clicks to Create a lesson and relate it to an existing block in a course.

I think the difficulties that I had were mostly technical because of the little knowledge I had of some tools like REACT since I don’t have enough experience in JS, so I focused on the layout part despite some difficulties I was able to solve them.

I must say that I was very afraid to start this project because I knew about my limitations and the commitment and responsibility that came with it. I know that I have to learn a lot more and I have a lot of things to work on.

The holberton projects helped me to have a base knowledge that I must deepen to get to handle certain technologies well, also helped me to see which path is the one I really want to take and well I know that right now I am not ready for working life, I still have a lot to learn.
